Our spotlight shines brightly on Master Soumitra Joshi (Class 9 - Div B), who has brought national glory to our institute by clinching the Gold Medal at the All-India Under-16 National Chess Championship held in New Delhi last week.
Facing off against 120 of the countryβs top-ranked young players in an intense 9-round Swiss tournament, Soumitra remained undefeated, securing a spectacular victory in the final match with a brilliant endgame strategy.

In His Own Words:
"Balancing school exams and national chess training was tough, but my teachers always stood by me. They arranged extra doubt-solving classes whenever I missed lectures due to tournaments. Winning this for my school is an incredible feeling."
When he isnβt calculating his next chess move, Soumitra is an avid football player who loves sprinting across the Rajarshi Shahu Vidyalaya Ground during recess. The entire institute family congratulates Soumitra and wishes him the absolute best for his upcoming International Open in December!
